Year 9s presented brilliantly at the HydroFRED STEM morning

We we pleased to welcome Freedom Foundation to the school to run a session on careers in Hydrogen (STEM Pathways - 14/07/2022)

A new initiative both for the school and the region, HydroFRED (Freedom to Release Emotion Dialogue) has a triple focus: STEM careers, sustainable hydrogen technology and the confidence to present oneself for job interviews & work experience.

The year 9 students who opted in to this opportunity had a mixture of interests covering STEM, videography and Environmental issues but the one thing they all had in common was that they were positive, focused and proactive in their approach to the session. All students came out of their comfort zones to speak up in the class and most had the opportunity to speak to camera and pitch themselves as future employees for a STEM career. It was fantastic to see their well planned and confidently executed pitches.

Thanks so much to Freedom Foundation for coming in and delivering the session. It was beneficial, interesting and enjoyable for all.
