Welcome to the Toot Hill Art Department, a dynamic and stimulating environment where you will learn a broad and varied curriculum. High achievement is encouraged through an engaging programme of high quality teaching and learning. We expect all students to do their very best as they explore, develop and refine new skills, ideas and experiences. Students receive a high level of individually tailored support from a skilled team of teachers, support staff and professional practitioners. Students are given the opportunity to express themselves creatively through independent learning, practical application, teamwork and reflection. We also prepare our students for the future by addressing issues relevant to their personal, social and moral development.
Toot Hill is recognised as a Specialist Business, Enterprise and Visual Art school. The art department has consistently delivered outstanding results at all levels and continues to strive for excellence within each year group. We provide a wide range of courses both at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 including Fashion & Textiles and Photography.
Facilities include a newly developed photography dark room, Textile Studio, Sewing room, sixth form art studio, and ICT suit. All students’ benefit from well equipped classroom studios and an extensive range of specialist art equipment and materials. Artwork is displayed throughout the school clearly demonstrating the quality of work produced
