Debating Club - Law Edition. Starting 28th of February.

Every Wednesday from 3.45 - 4.45pm in the LL. (Learning Lounge - 06/02/2018)

On Wednesday the 28th an all new after school club will be starting. It will be run by Miss Jones, Mr Hargreaves and an amazingly talented college student Chris Niewdach. The club will be open to students in years 8-10. There are currently only 16 places available. If students want to join they will need to visit the Learning Lounge and sign up at the LL desk to secure their place. The club will be held in the Learning Lounge.

What happens in Debating Club - Law Edition?

- Students will learn how to construct valid arguments.

- Students will debate topics including: Should juries still be used in court and does intent matter.

- Students will learn how to write and perform opening and closing statements.

- Students will then partake in their very own mock trial to put all their skills into practice.

Debating club is in association with the University of Nottingham and the first session will be hosted by the University's very own Law Graduates.
