Baking Off Beyond Britain
The end of September witnessed the first annual Toot Hill MFL Bake Off competition. Running alongside a Macmillan coffee morning with Miss Southern from History, students and staff alike were invited to showcase their cake making prowess for a good cause, with the ever generous Mrs Foster opening up her classroom to become our answer to the famous BBC tent.
Judging took place during throughout the morning, and in the absence of Paul and Mary’s discerning eyes, Mrs Rahman and Miss Bishopp took a completely unbiased look at the various offerings before the arrival of the hungry masses at break time.
Winning entries came from Mr & Mrs Mordue (staff) and Ines Kenwood & Maddie Kirk (students), although more importantly the event raised £404 for a very good cause. Get practising everyone, and we’ll see you next year!
