Toot Hill Big Band's first gig of the year
On Sunday 7th September, the sun was shining as the band played to a large gathering at the Aslockton Hall afternoon tea. A mixture of old and new pieces were well received by the audience who included residents and family members. A great time was had by all and a letter from one of the residents confirmed how professional our young performers looked and sounded on the day.
Come and join us: Rehearsals take place on the first and third Wednesday of every month in the Toot Hill School Music Department, from 7.00 to 8.30 p.m. The Band has recently opened its doors to the community and invites any local sax, trumpet or trombone players, drummers, guitarists, pianists or bass players to come along, regardless of your age or level of experience. The only requirement is an enthusiasm for making music!
